Here comes the house....
Well the house has arrived....and let me tell you, it was quite the ordeal! It all started when nobody showed up at the property in the morning when it was scheduled to arrive. There is zero cell service for about 10 miles from the property, and its hit and miss beyond that too. After driving down the road and managing to reach the driver, I could make out only a few words on his end. "sorry.....are.....pretty stuck here....road...4....*click*".
Ok...so this isn't good. We spent about an hour and a half driving down every gravel road between us and where the house was coming from before finally stumbling across it. After the delivery truck sunk in the soft gravel road, they had decided the best bet was to unload the house and drag it a mile back to a gradual ditch, spin it around in the ditch, and then use the skid steer to free the delivery truck and go reload the house. So here we are ladies and gentleman....our first meeting with our future home:
Several hours later, we finally got to see our home reach its final destination. Dirty as all hell....but its here!
Once the guys had it unloaded and blocked up, we found the house had shifted quite a bit and the front door couldn't close. Go figure! After all the twisting going down into the ditch to turn around, I was surprised it was even still together.
They came back a couple days later to re-shim the door and add more blocking. Initially they only blocked every 10' or so, but I insisted they come back and do more as the foundation plans from the engineer clearly stated blocking must be no further than every 4'.
So here she is, dirty and bruised but its here!

Wife and kids are happy, I'm happy....lets do this :)
